Dr. M. S. Sahoo is an acclaimed thought leader in financial markets, having substantially influenced policies and reforms in financial markets over the last three decades. His significant contributions include the dematerialisation of securities and insolvency reforms in India. He has been the Chairperson / Member of several Committees set up by the Government and Regulators.
Until recently, Dr. M. S. Sahoo served as a Distinguished Professor at the National Law University Delhi. He was the Founding Chairperson of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), a Member of the Competition Commission of India (CCI), the Secretary of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, a Whole-time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and Economic Adviser with the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. As a Member of the Indian Economic Service, he served several Ministries in the Government of India.
Dr. Sahoo has served on the Boards of several organisations, including the Oriental Bank of Commerce, Management Development Institute, National Institute of Securities Markets, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, National Securities Depository Limited, SEBI, CCI, and IBBI.
Dr. Sahoo is a qualified Company Secretary and has postgraduate degrees in Economics, Law, and Management, with a PhD in Economics.
Former Judge, Delhi High Court
Mr. G.P. Mittal is a former Judge of Delhi High Court, who has over four decades of experience as a Judge including in the District Judiciary of City State of Delhi. He is actively involved in arbitration for over four years. During this period he has dealt with a large number of arbitration matters including several high stake matters. He has dealt with matters inter alia relating to Corporate Commercial Disputes, Tax Matters, Acquisition of Shares and Debentures, Acquisition of Lands, Electricity, Construction of Hydro, Roads, Metro and Railways Projects as a sole as well as Presiding Arbitrator. He also had an opportunity to deal with some international arbitrations. He has already rendered award in over 40 arbitral disputes.
He is a trained Mediator and was Coordinator of Delhi Mediation Centre, District Court, Tis Hazari. He has dealt with over 400 cases as a Mediator. A number of references for mediation were made by the Supreme Court of India and High Court of Delhi. He has successfully mediated about 250 cases where amicable resolution of the dispute was reached by the Parties.

Dr. CKG Nair is a financial sector policy-regulatory-law expert of eminence with over 25 years of experience in the subject and total experience of four decades. He was a Member of the Securities Appellate Tribunal [SAT] during 2016-21. He was also Secretary, Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission [FSLRC, Chaired by Justice B N Srikrishna], 2011-13; Adviser, Capital Markets [2013-16] Director, Capital Markets [2008-2011] and Director, Commodity Futures Markets [1999-2004], amongst other positions in the Government of India. These experiences enabled him to develop cutting edge expertise on the laws and regulations, policy and administration on the entire gamut of issues in the financial sector.
As a Member of SAT Dr. Nair drafted around 500 Orders, in addition to being signatory to more than 2000 Orders [drafted by the Presiding Judge and other Members], on appeals filed by aggrieved parties on the orders passed by SEBI, IRDAI and PFRDAI. He played a significant role in drafting the Report and the draft Indian Finance Code of the FSLRC; in restructuring the monetary policy framework through a Monetary Policy Committee by drafting relevant amendments to the RBI Act; in drafting the Report of the Bankruptcy Reforms Committee and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016; in liberalising the commodity futures market and merging the Forward Markets Commission with SEBI etc. As Director, National Institute of Securities Markets [2021-24], he led major educational and capacity building initiatives for the financial sector regulators, particularly SEBI, listed companies, financial markets intermediaries and on alternative online dispute resolution [ADR/ODR] mechanism.
Dr. Nair has been a Member of several committees in the financial sector: the most recent one being the Expert Committee appointed by the Honorable Supreme Court on issues relating to the Hindenburg Research Report on Adani group.
A PhD on securities markets regulation], Dr. Nair writes periodically on financial sector policies, laws and regulation, corporate governance, investor protection and related issues.
